Local musician Landon Morgan supported the Help a Quad Out Project with a benefit concert at local coffeehouse Chez Amavida Saturday night. The event was small and intimate and filled with the great musical sounds of Landon Morgan, who played everything from his original songs to covers to a mashup consisting of more songs than I can count and all of them guilty pleasures. The performance was fun, and along with his music you got an up-close-and personal interaction with the artist himself as he made jokes, made fun of himself, and alternately called out drink orders for the coffee guys in the back of the house between sets.
Check out Landon’s music on his Reverbnation page at www.reverbnation.com/landonmorgan4, and currently 50% of sales from the purchase of his music on Reverbnation will be donated to The Half Sky Movement, an organization fighting to end the oppression of women across nations and turn it into opportunity. Landon is off to new adventures in New York and we wish him all the best.
We raised $90 at this event! Thank you to everyone that came out and so generously donated. And BIG thanks to Landon for hosting this benefit and promoter Christy Holtz for telling Landon about the Help a Quad Out Project.
